How answer sets are assembled

According to the official FAQ, answer sets draw on sources such as dictionaries, encyclopedias and other datasets appropriate to the question. These are merged and cleaned into a set.

How rarity is determined

The creator says the method varies by prompt. Some can use a familiarity database; others receive a combination of AI assistance and manual review.

The official instructions say every point moves the dive ten metres, with 700 points reaching the trench. A score shown in the live game is the authoritative result for that round.

Too Clever and the Krillion

Too Clever describes an answer that seems obscure but is a common obscure pick. The special Krillion answer is chosen using more than rarity: the creator also considers how satisfying it is to find.

What if my answer is missing?

A valid answer can be absent because the set missed a source, according to the official FAQ. The FAQ also explains that aliases can cause unexpected autocorrect matches.
